Hi all, started running a couple months ago, age 38. Loving it.

Currently going twice a week.

I know 3 would be better but finding the time to fit it all in is hard.

I also do kettlebells 3 times a week and the odd mountain bike ride.

I cant find any programs for 2 times a week so just go for a shorter run 2ish miles mid week and 3ish on the weekend.
I avg 10min mile

Are there any 2 day a week plans out there? If not am i on the right path doing a shorter run mid week and my longer run on the weekend?

My aim is to get my 5k time down to around 28mins and do a 10k at some point

Thanks

Little and often, is far better than fewer, longer runs, certainly until your system becomes accustomed to the demands of running. Try and keep the runs relatively flat at first too, as varying terrain / going up and down hills, puts a whole new load of demands on your body.
