We are off camping in Snowdonia this weekend and climbing Snowdon tomorrow. I've done Ben Nevis but never Snowdon. The forecast looks okay - I'm quite excited. Anyone got any Snowdon experience?
Done the Horseshoe, Snowdon on it's own in summer & winter. The path up (You will be walking up?) has been made easier over the years. Don't let what it feels like at ground level fool you. I've been on the top with it raining, then coming down, past people going up, wet/in waterproofs.
We had a great time - beautiful weather. Cool at the top but nowhere near the -2 they were forecasting. What a great hike. Everything hurt the next day though...
Which route did you take u, have done the Pyg Track a couple of times but they were in the trail marathon..... Running down the Llanberis path can be hard work after 20 miles...
We went up Pyg and down Miner's. It felt like a good way to do it - the scramble down Miner's was grim, I can't imagine how tough the scramble UP would be.
