Hello everyone! My name is Josh and I'm obviously new to this forum. I work at a desk job for 8 hrs every weekday and have realized that I need some more physical activity in my life. I'm new to getting fit and running. Hopefully I stick with it.

Any tips for a new runner? Anything I should focus on at first?

Welcome. Take it slow and steady. The worse thing you can do is rush in and injure yourself. If you can see a physiotherapist to get yourself assessed, they will probably give you a set of exercises that will strengthen and stabilise you.
Most of all, make sure you enjoy yourself.

hey, welcome!! have a look online for a couch-5k plan, that should get you running without injury! and consider joining your local parkrun - you can walk it now and progress as you run more! the support will be fabulous.
