Podcast app for iPhone

I've been using the built-in podcast app on my iPhone but I can't seem to find a way of making it play all the downloaded episodes from all shows in time order; it seems to want to play all episodes of a specific show, then wants me to select another show to work through - so I'm not getting much variety.

Anyone know of an iPhone podcast app that lets you play casts from a variety of shows - maybe even a shuffle option like in iTunes?

Pocket casts may fit your needs. I use it on my android phone and you can create playlists of random shows etc

You can get Apple's podcast app to play all the different shows in date order. Just create a new 'Station' and add the shows to it that you want to listen to, then sort the station by reverse date order and you will get the result you want.

Second the Pocket Casts recommendation though. Great app.
