Skiing!

So we've started investigating a ski trip for the spring. In California we were lucky enough to be able to drive to the snow in four hours (or so)..not so much now. We've just checked the price of a family trip in half-term and WOWSERS, THAT'S EXPENSIVE!

Any tips on how to do a ski trip 'cheaply'? I know skiing is never cheap, but you know what I mean!

Did you get any snow around your way today?
We did, at lease 2" of the white stuff,
Boars hill near Oxford, was very busy with people on sledge s, if only I had a pair of skies

We got a sprinkling but only enough for a quick snowball fight. If I could get myself a pair of cross-country skis, that could happen!
