Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) - Anyone going to watch (or take part)?

    The description doesn't make it sound too bad, does it:

    Mountain race, with numerous passages in high altitude (>2500m), in difficult weather conditions (night, wind, cold, rain or snow), that needs a very good training, adapted equipment and a real capacity of personal autonomy.

    You doing it? It's my dream race (except that I don't run further than 13 miles, which throws a spanner in the works)

    Oh hell no - nowhere near able to do anything like that!! :laugh: Got to admire the strength, stamina and will power of the people who do take in on though. Mad, the lot of them, but in a good way. :smile:

    We went to spectate the Western States 100 a year or so ago. It was incredible just watching it, maybe I should drag the family to Chamonix :smile:

    Blimey. Do they really get 2300 people wanting to take part in that? Some people are just super, super-fit aren't they!
